Everyone has heard of fashion, but not everyone can define what fashion is? Fashion is a style that prevails for a very short time, at most a few years, and often only one season, as is the case in the clothing industry. Fashion is invented by a single person or a group of people who have a vision for a given field. An example would be fashion related to clothing. Although fashion can concern not only clothing, but also various things, such as hairstyles, makeup, behavior, worldview, conduct, lifestyle, etc.
What is fashion?
New trends in fashion
New trends have the characteristic of hitting an existing niche and when they appear, they are immediately picked up by a large number of people. Especially when people notice something new in public figures. They start dressing, cutting hair, putting on makeup, or living in the style promoted by public figures.

The influence of media on fashion
Fashion is most widely spread by the media. Very often, what is visible on the screens of the phone, television, or computer or in the pages of newspapers, very quickly gains supporters. People start to model themselves on a given person, e.g. a movie hero or a star of the stage, an influencer. As was the case in the past with the career of the famous French fashion designer Christian Dior. The founder of one of the largest fashion houses in the world. Or Giorgio Armani, who gained fame by sewing clothes for Hollywood stars. Movie stars, taking on the role of movie heroes and dressing in clothes designed by Armani, were pure advertising for the clothing designed by Armani. This quickly made the designer famous and introduced a new fashion for men's clothing, e.g. tailored men's suits. The resulting fashion trend moved away from wide trousers and hanging men's jackets in favor of tailored men's clothing.
The famous fashion designers of that time did not forget about women either, wanting to create businesswomen out of them. Because it was a time of great economic development in many countries. In order for women to be more easily able to match the male population in business and career, suits were also designed for them. It was a garment consisting of trousers and a jacket, but less fitted than a man's suit. A woman who looked like this was supposed to fight for equal rights in terms of gaining managerial positions in corporations or gain a better image by becoming a businesswoman.
Today, media – traditional and social – still have a huge impact on what ends up in our wardrobes. An actress’s red carpet style, an influencer’s travel outfit, or a singer’s music video outfit – all it takes is one viral photo to create a new trend. But it’s not just about copying anymore. Modern women draw inspiration from the media and then transform it into something of their own. They combine elements of elegance with casualness, classic with retro details, femininity with comfort.
In women's fashion, we owe a lot to what was born on the screen - both the silver one and the touch screens of phones. References to the style of film heroines, bold colors, large jackets, soft fabrics, and even tights with a clear pattern - all of this has permeated everyday life. If you are looking for a way to feel a bit like a successful woman from a movie, but at the same time remain yourself - all you need is one well-chosen element. It can be an expressive blouse, elegant pumps or a simple set with a touch of chic. And you can also find such inspiration in the offer of a coquette - where fashion meets female independence.
Because media fashion is not just an image – it is energy that you can wear every day. You don’t have to be a star to look and feel like one.
Style and fashion
In fashion design, the most important thing is to sense the moment. That is, to notice what is in demand. In the times after World War II, there was a demand for freedom, liberty and diversity. A little later, when the destroyed countries were rebuilt and the economy began to develop, there was a need to create an image of a strong, serious man who knew what he wanted. It was necessary to show one's strength and determination in the fight for, for example, managerial positions. That is why tough women's fashion was created, modelled on men's clothing. Today, fashion also changes constantly. Only style remains constant. Because if someone has their own style, they rarely deviate from it. Because style is an unchanging thing, unlike fashion.
